Bougainvillea (Nyctaginaceae)

Features: Evergreen desert woody vines that flower several times throughout the year. The most common colors of bougainvillea that you’ll see in the Phoenix area are magenta, purple, pink and red.
Exposure: Full Sun.
Size: 4 – 6 feet.
Uses: Foundation beds, Groundcover, Vine, Shrub or Standard — show piece.
Planting Guide: Space 6 – 8 ft apart.
Comments: Native to Tropical and Sub-tropical South America.
